This map is from the great master whose work is coveted and sought after for its highest quality and exemplar craftsmanship. Blaeu's work set the highest standards with adroitly tooled copperplate engravings which were almost artistic in their use of line and texture. This map, done by the Dutch master, has his characteristic quality, clarity and fine detailing.
